"Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads."
Henry David Thoreau
This page is intended to serve as a guide to actions we can all take to help to preserve our natural world. Some issues require immediate or relatively quick action. Others, while perhaps no less important, may require less immediate action.
Bookmark a site (such as the League of Conservation Voters, or one of the National Environmental organizations), or follow a link from this page, for the latest news on national issues. Since many national environmental organizations make information for environmental activism available on their sites, this site will probably be devoted to state (Pennsylvania) and local issues in the future, and it may be moving.
Thanks for helping to save the planet.
"The people have a right to clean air, pure water, and the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic, and aesthetic values of the environment. Pennsylvania's resources are the common property of all the people, including generations yet to come. As trustee of these resources, the Commonwealth shall conserve and maintain them for the benefit of all the people."

"Original sin, the true original sin, is the blind destruction for the sake of greed of this natural paradise which lies all around us -- if only we were worthy of it."
